Subscription FAQs

Following are a few frequently asked questions and the solutions. If these do not answer your particular questions, or if you need additional help, (or if you just don’t want to deal with it!) please reach out to us at support@mainstreetmediatn.com; or call (615) 452-4940 ext 1.

 

♦I’m trying to access the site, but am having trouble logging in.   OR

♦I’m trying to renew my subscription online, but am having trouble accessing the site.

On April 18, 2022 the website was “closed” and made available only to subscribers. If you had previously set up a User ID/Login for the site it was likely deactivated during the transition.

In order to access the site / renew online, you need to first activate or set up your online account. If you already have a paper subscription to Main Street Maury, online access is included with your current subscription.

If you had a subscription prior to April 18, 2022, and we have an email address on file for you, you should have received an email from us (Main Street Media of Tennessee / Main Street Maury) prior to the closing date advising you of the changes. Your online account just needs to be activated by following the instructions below. You will be registered as a ‘Current Subscriber.’

If you did not have a previous subscription or we did not previously have an email address on file for you or it has changed, you will need to set up an online account by following the instructions below.  

NOTE: Each subscription needs to have it’s own email address. If you manage multiple accounts (i.e., gift subscriptions, a parent’s or child’s account) and previously used the same email address for all of them, please contact us to get individual account access set up.

Instructions to set up your online account

ON A MOBILE DEVICE

  1. Go to the website - www.mainstreetmaury.com

  2. Click on the 3 bars on the top right of the home screen.

  3. Click on the “Sign Up” button on the top left of the menu.

  4. Complete the online form

  5. Select a user name

  6. Enter the email address 

  7. Create and confirm your password

  8. Check the reCAPTCHA box and click Create Account

  9. You should see a screen that says “Verify your account” telling you an email has been sent to you. Please find that e-mail in your inbox.

  10. Click on the link below the words “Click the link below to confirm your email.” That should take you to a page that says “Sign up successful” and you are good to go.

  11. Click on the 3 bars on the top right of the home screen. Click on the Log-in button and enter your user name and password.

  12. Please take a moment to complete your 'Profile' section.

 

ON A DESKTOP

  1. Go to the website - www.mainstreetmaury.com

  2. Click on the “Sign Up” button on the top right of the home page.

  3. Complete the online form

  4. Select a user name

  5. Enter the email address 

  6. Create and confirm your password

  7. Check the reCAPTCHA box and click Create Account

♦I have online access, how do I subscribe / renew?

ON A MOBILE DEVICE

  1. Go to the website - www.mainstreetmaury.com

  2. Click on the 3 bars on the top right of the home screen.

  3. Click on the “Login” button on the top left of the menu.

  4. Enter your email address and password and click ‘sign-in’

  5. Click on the 3 bars on the top right of the home screen, and click on the ‘Dashboard’ button.

  6. Scroll down and select ‘Subscriptions - manage your subscriptions’ and select the subscription option. If you already have a subscription showing other than your Current Subscriber account - you can click the 'Renew' button.

  7. If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to complete your 'Profile' section - this will help your transactions process smoother.

ON A DESKTOP

  1. Go to the website - www.mainstreetmaury.com

  2. Click on the “Login” button on the top right of the home page.

  3. Enter your email address and password and click ‘sign-in’

  4. Hover the mouse over your User ID (in the upper right hand corner) and the ‘My Account’ menu will appear.

  5. Select ‘Dashboard’

  6. Select ‘Subscriptions’, then ‘Manage Subscriptions’; select the subscription option. If you already have a subscription showing other than your Current Subscriber account - you can click the 'Renew' button.

  7. If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to complete your 'Profile' section - this will help your transactions process smoother.

 

 ♦I have registered, am logged in, but I'm still not able to access the articles or e-edition / paywall still blocking site.

Most likely you have just recently registered / subscribed and your session is still cached.  You will need to clear the cache - try logging out of the site (actually logging out not just closing the page), close your browser, wait a minute or two, reopen and log back in.  This should clear everything and update the registration.    If you are still having issues after doing this, most likely it is a setting in your browser that is not allowing the site to update.  Log out, clear the history and cookies in your browser, wait a minute or so, and try logging back in.   

 

♦I know my account number and would like to renew my subscription online, but I’m only interested in getting the paper.

Access to our website and our online interactive replica e-Edition is included with your subscription. However, we try to make it as easy as possible to keep your paper coming to you each week. If you have your account number you can renew your subscription online at: https://www.simplecirc.com/subscriber_login

Please ignore the graphic - your account number does NOT appear on your mailing label.

  • Enter the account number and 5-digit zip code; NOTE: neither entry can contain any spaces either before or after the entry.

  • To Renew - click the blue ‘Renew’ button located on the right hand side. NOTE: if this account is for someone else that you previously purchased as a gift - click the renew button and make sure the ‘Gift’ box is checked. Your information should appear under the ‘gift giver’ and payment information tabs.

  • To purchase gift subscriptions - click the green ‘Give a Gift’ button in the upper right hand corner. NOTE: if this account is for someone else that you previously purchased as a gift - click the renew button and make sure the ‘Gift’ box is checked. Your information should appear under the ‘gift giver’ and payment information tabs.

  • Previous subscription purchases - to view your previous purchases, click the ‘Order History’ tab on the left side.

  • Previous Gift purchases - to view previous gift subscription purchases, click the ‘Gifts’ tab on the left side.

  • To change your address - click the ‘Change’ button in the address box. Please only enter the 5-digit zip code. The system will verify your address with USPS and add the Zip+4 code when it is verified. 

  • If you change your email address, please let us know so we can make sure it is updated our email notification system (you can send us an email to sedwards@mainstreetmediatn.com - let us know that you changed it and what the old email was). You may continue to receive renewal notices to your old email account if we are not notified of the change.

 ♦The system will not process my credit card, but I’m not getting an error message.

  • Make sure you have the correct card number, name, and expiration date entered.

  • None of the numeric fields can contain a space - enter the credit card number as one continuous number.

  • We accept multiple credit/debit cards and payment types, but American Express cards often will not process no matter how hard you try.

  • If your credit card processes, you should receive a confirmation message both on screen and via email.

  • If you are still having problems, you are welcome to contact us and we will be glad to assist you.

 

 

♦Do I have to subscribe / renew online?

If you want to have online only access - then yes.  You will need to set up an online account and subscribe online.

If you want just the paper or the paper+online access - then you have other options.

  • You can mail your renewal payment to Main Street Media of TN, P.O. Box 8156, Gallatin, TN 37066.  (Please include your account number on your check/money order if you have it);

  • Subscription services can assist you with renewing by calling (615) 452-4940 ext 1.
