It’s time for the John Maher Builders Whole Hog Festival, benefiting The Well Outreach.

The festival will be held at historic Oaklawn Mansion, located at 3331 Denning Lane in Spring Hill, on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

This free family event will include Hog Calling and Bacon Eating contests, a Kid Zone as well as circus performers and an antique tractor show. “Pork Chop,” an inflatable pig ride, is new to the event this year. Festivalgoers can also enjoy a variety of arts and crafts, food trucks and live bands. Bring your family and friends and be ready for the fun, while helping support the mission of The Well Outreach.

With over 25 kid-friendly activities, including inflatables, a petting zoo and a balloon

artist, this year’s Whole Hog Festival will also be hosting over 35 unique craft vendors from all over Tennessee.

Live music will be on the main stage all day by various artists. Performances by Bad Dog Band, Brother’s Keeper, King Cotton, Dust & Daisies, Bordertown, Herrick and Brother Maven will provide entertainment for the entire family.

Over 15 local food trucks will be featured, from delicious BBQ, brisket, pork rinds, hot dogs, pizza, kettle corn, coffee, shaved ice, doughnuts, carnival treats and more! Many of the food truck vendors will be offering bacon-themed selections.

“In addition to John Maher Builders, this festival would not be possible without the support and partnership of many businesses like, Hustle Factory, Benton Nissan, Pioneer Docking, United Health Care, Washtopia, Tennessee Pediatrics, and our friends Steve and Heather Scott”, said, Shelly Sassen, CEO of The Well Outreach.

“If you would like to become a festival sponsor, there are many opportunities. To find out more call (615) 302-WELL (9355).”

The Well Outreach exists to provide for the hunger needs of our community. This is accomplished by serving those in need through supporting spiritual, emotional and physical growth. Its three programs include a weekly food pantry, the Jetpack

Program, and mobile food pantries. While the Well Outreach is centrally located to serve Williamson and Maury Counties, it operates without any geographical boundaries, ensuring that anyone who visits with a hunger need will have those needs met with dignity.
